Dear Parents
Annual Parents’ Meeting 2013
On behalf of the Governing Body I am writing to invite you to the Annual Parents’ Meeting with
the governors to be held in the School at 7pm on Tuesday 26 th February 2013.
We believe an Annual Parents’ Meeting is a valuable opportunity for parents and governors to
discuss and improve understanding of key issues and developments for the School, rather than
focusing on your daughter’s development and personal work which are covered in the year
group parents’ evenings. Although an Annual Parents’ Meeting is not a statutory requirement,
we believe it is helpful to bring parents and governors together.
This year the Chairs of each of the Governing Body sub-committees will give a brief presentation
on their own areas of responsibility in addition to a short report from the Head. The
presentations will be followed by an open question and answer session and then refreshments
will be served during which time there will be the opportunity to speak to governors more
informally.
I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend the meeting, and would be grateful if
you could complete the reply slip or e-mail to confirm your attendance. It would also be helpful
if you could indicate any specific questions you may have and would like addressed; depending
on their nature, responses will be given either during the main session or individually after the
formal presentation.
