Preparing the Site
Use the following guidelines to prepare the site where you will install your cluster.
Space Requirements
Access to the front and rear of the cluster requires at least 20-inch (50.8 cm) aisles. If you place clusters in
multiple rows, rack enclosures may share the aisle space. The following table lists the space requirements for
common rack enclosures used with Evolocity II clusters:

Support Requirements
Clusters are heavy pieces of equipment with the weight concentrated in a small area. A rack enclosure with
hosts, switch, an Icebox control unit, an un-interruptible power supply (UPS), and cabling can weigh
approximately 1,300 lbs (590 kg). To estimate the weight of your cluster, refer to the following table (items
marked with an * are approximated).
