Dubai is unlike many other cities. Aside from boasting<br />

Driven by design aficionado Patricia Urquiola, the latest<br />
collection is Riviera-meets-Miami with a hint of rustic Italian<br />
influence. “I started from the theme of woven patterns, with a<br />
traditional look in mind,” says Patricia, speaking of the stunning<br />
Canasta (meaning ‘Spanish basket’) collection. Vienna straw,<br />
with its decorative geometric shape, was the base of her<br />
inspiration and the whole collection is punctuated with steel<br />
embellishments and floral patterns.<br />
For anyone looking for the ultimate Zen-like vibe, the<br />
Crinoline range is also an admirable contender for your outdoor<br />
space. “The black-white and black-bronze dual coloured<br />
polythene weave matches the natural fibre of bronze string,” she<br />
continues, highlighting the soft magenta of a luxurious throw<br />
she designed for cooler nights.<br />
Whether summer or winter the whole collection is the perfect<br />
accompaniment to life al fresco. Ideal for the swimming pool<br />
area or the garden lawn, Patricia refers to her range of chairs like<br />
pieces of “land art that harmonise with the surrounding scenery”.<br />
Ultimately B&B Italia is about bringing life to the great outdoors.<br />
