Luxe vintage
While vintage wares have never gone out of fashion (cue Kate
Moss), it is wonderful when a label like Boss Orange reinvents
some classic 60s shapes in fresh fabrics. Floral smock dresses
and leather slouch bags were the talk of the town at London,
Paris and New York, leaving BinHendi in no doubt that Hugo
Boss had triumphed again. Want to move seamlessly from day
into night? Channel the colour du jour (soft beige) for
maximum effect. Think opaque tights, cotton hats and
delicate jewellery.
Knee high

If there’s a trend that is often sidelined it’s the knee high
boot. So often assimilated with the likes of Julia Roberts in
Pretty Woman, this stunning footwear has had a fairly
trashy rap in past years. But this season has changed all that
and this thigh slimming, leg lengthening trend has found its
happy place. Hot off Boss Orange’s catwalks, these classic
boots – I am loving the kitten heels for ultimate comfort –
are perfect paired with an A-line skirt or a pair of classic
shorts. Add a pair of electric blue tights and it’s time to
bring knee-highs back into classy realms.
Scarlet woman

While red has been a firm favourite among the fashion elite in
past seasons (Miss Sixty’s Spring/Summer ‘09 collection was a case
in point), BinHendi just cannot get enough of this luxe hue.

there really is nothing else a girl can do than grab a pair of these
ruffle heels. Matched with a pair of steel grey tights and a black
frock, it’s time to let your shoes do the talking. Our tip? Don’t go
overboard with this colour. A splash here (I love these Gianvito
Rossi leather gloves) and there (this Gianvito Rossi red patent
clutch is bang on trend) does the job admirably.
