Here is an announcement that is sure to get you all shook up and excited as an Elvis fan. A commemorative Elvis Week publication
dedicated to Elvis and the fans that have kept this annual event going strong for the past 30 years is in the works.
So, C’mon everybody, break out the old photo albums and jog your memory, because your pictures and captions will be needed to
make this book a reality. Over the years you might have wondered, what will become of those scrapbooks and photos from Elvis
Weeks of the past? Well, wonder no more! Be a part of 30th Anniversary Elvis Week history by submitting your photos for a very
special publication that will commemorate 30 years of Elvis Week and fan friendship.
The folks at Graceland are looking for Elvis Week photos between 1978 and 1997 for a special book that will be available starting
in early July. You might wonder, what does Graceland want with my photo? Well, Elvis Week would not be Elvis Week without the
fans and this book would not be the same unless the fans were part of it. Some of the events that we are seeking photos for are; The
Candlelight Vigil, Dances, Fan Club Presidents Event, concerts and other Graceland sponsored Elvis Week events from the past.
The first years of events and the candlelight vigil are needed most, but check those photo albums for some of your best and most
creative pictures of crowds, small groups, fan memorials, etc. from the time frame between 1978 and 1997. Also, if you were in
Memphis in August of 1977 and have photos that you would be willing to share of the large crowds and memorials outside Graceland,
and the procession down Elvis Presley Boulevard, we would like to include a selection of these photos in this book. The wonder
of you and your generosity as an Elvis fan will make this 30th Anniversary "yearbook" a publication like no other.
Also for this special book, we are seeking fan pictures with Elvis from every decade- the 50's, 60's and 70's. That means, a picture of
you, a family member or friend standing close to, or if you were REALLY lucky, posing side by side with Elvis. These photos are
very significant and reflect Elvis's deep appreciation and closeness to his fans over the years. Remember, the photos needed are
those of Elvis with fans, not photos of Elvis on stage in concert.
It¹s now or never, so dig up those old photographs and start sorting through them and try to find up to 8 photos that you think are
worthy of making it into the program. Keep in mind, not every photo will be included in the book. Due to the overwhelming response,
there simply won¹t be room for every photo received at Graceland, but don¹t let that stop you from making an effort, you
never know. Be sure to send us a COPY of your photos, return to sender is not an option with the number of submissions that will
make it to Graceland from all corners of the globe.
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW IF YOU PLAN ON SENDING US YOUR PHOTOS:
a) Photos needed are Elvis Week photos between 1978 and 1997, photos taken of crowds and memorials left at Graceland following
Elvis’ death in August of 1977, and photos of fans posing with Elvis.
b) Names, dates, locations and a description of the event printed on a piece of paper taped to the back of the photo will be helpful
in our selection process. If you have a question about the date, most photos have a stamped marking on the back that usually contains
a date or at least a year. If not, an approximate date would be helpful.
c) Be sure to make a COPY of the photos you send in as they will not be returned, a high resolution scan will also work if choose
to scan the photos and e-mail them in for consideration for the program. Your neighborhood drug store or photo mat has machines
that can easily make a quick copy of your photos since we are sure you won¹t want to send us the original. If you choose to scan
your photos and e-mail them in, be sure you select a high resolution scan so that we have the best possible quality, this larger file
may result in a slow send on an e-mail so it might be wise to send photos separately through e-mail.
This sentence is confusing.
d) You will need to print and fill out the release form and send it in with your photos, or download the PDF from elvis.com and
fill it out and send it in with your photos. Don't they have to go to elvis.come to get the release form anyway?
e) DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING ALL PHOTOS IS MAY 11, 2007. Graceland must receive your photos by this date, or they
cannot be considered for publication.
f) THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PHOTOS TO BE PURCHASED BY GRACELAND. Graceland staff will not respond
to e-mails, phone calls or letters with requests for payment. This 30th Anniversary Elvis Week commemorative program is meant
to be a unique way for fans to share their 30 years of memories with one another and the world. The generosity of Elvis fans from
around the world is being counted on to help make this publication, dedicated to Elvis and the fans that have kept Elvis Week going
strong for 30 years, a reality.

You hereby acknowledge that by sending:
1. By sending to Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. ("EPE") personal photographs (either digital files or prints) taken with
Elvis Presley or (b) any photographs (either digital files or prints) taken at Elvis Week from 1978 through 1998 (the
"Photos"), to the address or email provided in paragraph 8 (a), you hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and
conditions:
2. You grant EPE the irrevocable right to exhibit, distribute, market, advertise, promote, reproduce, publicly and privately
display, edit, broadcast, transmit and otherwise use and exploit, and license the Photos throughout the universe in perpetuity
for any purpose, in all forms of media, manners and platforms, without the payment of any compensation, including
without limitation, as part of one or more publications celebrating Elvis Week and Elvis fans, or in any advertising, merchandise,
or promotions associated with EPE or Graceland. You agree that you shall have no right to participate in any profits or
be compensated for any use by EPE of the Photos.
3. Nothing herein obligates EPE to exercise any of the rights, licenses or privileges granted to EPE by this Agreement,
and EPE reserves all rights to approve all Photos prior to their exploitation and use by EPE.
4. If any Photos are sent via mail, EPE is not responsible for returning such Photos, and all such Photos will either be
kept in Graceland's archives or otherwise destroyed, at EPE's discretion.
5. You hereby release EPE, its employees, members, owners, principals, officers, directors, agents, affiliates, representatives
and related entities for any claims or causes of actions arising out of the exploitation and use of the Photos, including,
without limitation, invasion or privacy, right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement.
6. You hereby represent and warrant that (i) you hold all right, title, and interest in and to the Photos submitted to EPE,
(ii) that you have the right, power, and authority to enter into this agreement and grant to EPE the rights set forth in this
agreement, including the consent of all individuals featured in the Photos, and no other consents or permissions are required,
(iii) EPE's exploitation and use of the Photos will not infringe or violate the rights of any person or entity.
7. You hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless EPE, its employees, members, owners, principals, officers, directors,
agents, affiliates, representatives and related entities from and against any against any and all claims directly arising
from a material, uncured breach of its representations and warranties set forth herein.
8. All Photos shall be sent to Elvis Presley Enterprises, 30th Anniversary Photo Book, P.O. Box 16508, Memphis, TN
38186-0508 or e-mail photos to: mygracelandphotos@elvis.com .
9. This agreement is made in and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without reference to conflict of
law principles. The federal and state courts within Shelby County, Tennessee shall have jurisdiction over all matters relating
to or arising under this Agreement. Both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the State of Tennessee and any means of service
permitted under Tennessee law.
