CATHOLIC EMPLOYMENT NETWORK
Mary Queen of Peace (MQP) is now a registered chapter of the
Catholic Employment Network (CEN). This organization‟s
purpose is to help the unemployed and underemployed with
aspects of an effective and successful job search. We are striving
parishes. Workshops are held throughout the St. Louis
Archdiocese on topics ranging from effective networking
methods to resume writing, marketing plan development and
strategic interviewing skills. You may obtain more information
For those of you who are not aware of why and how this food
pantry collection got started please read below:
After visiting with Fr. Gary Meier, former associate at St. Peter,
now pastor of Sts. Teresa & Bridget (located on Grand & N.
Market, St. Louis City), he explained how his parish and
community are in great need. They have a food pantry that
serves their area, open one day a week for 3 hours. Even though
another county parish supplies canned goods once a month, the
high demand keeps their shelves bare. They have had to reduce
what they're able to give to those who come for help to a bag that
holds just enough food for 2 meals.
THIS IS WHERE WE COME IN. By collecting canned goods
MONTHLY we can help make other peoples' lives better and
respond to Jesus' call to feed Him when He is hungry.
Donations are delivered on the 3rd Monday of every month.
Please bring canned food in plastic bags about 4 days prior to
the monthly delivery date (3rd Monday each month) to our
home, placing it on the front porch. A list of items needed
and delivery dates is located in The Gathering Area in the
back of church.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
