EUCHARISTIC ADORATION In today's Gospel account, John the Baptist says, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." What an amazing realization this must have been for him! How full of wonder his heart must have been! If we really contemplate the fact of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, our hearts will fill with wonder, too! Come, let us adore! For more information, call Theresa at 314- 821-8433. EDUCATING ON THE NATURE AND DIGNITY OF WOMEN Women are invited to read and discuss Pope John Paul II‟s Letter to Women. Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women (ENDOW) is an 8-week study group new to our archdiocese that provides education and fellowship for Catholic women. Come to a short informational session in the parish library after 9:00AM and 11:00AM Masses on Sunday, February 20. The Monday night study group begins February 28 from 7:00-9:00PM. These parishioner (s) will pray around the chalice every night for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Prayers for vocations will accompany the chalice. ST. PETERFEST 2011 It is hard to think of hot dogs and carnival rides when it‟s 20 degrees outside and the Christmas decorations are barely put away but we want to get you thinking about St. Peterfest. St. Peterfest 2011 will be on Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th this year. St. Peterfest is a great parish community picnic and a fundraiser that benefits the parish as a whole. The money raised on this weekend goes into a sort of emergency fund that has helped with unplanned parish expenses in the past. Many organizations from the church pitch in and staff different booths on this weekend. The St. Peterfest co-chairs are Chris Kern at 984-9858 or email chris@dzshq.com and Jennifer Jonagan at 909-8437 or chuckhaus@sbcglobal.com. Please contact them if you have any questions. They welcome any level of participation. St. Peterfest meetings have begun and are the first Thursday of the month at 7:00PM in Ursuline Hall if you are interested in attending.
January 23, 2011 TO GROW IN FAITH TGIF – MYSTAGOGY SUNDAY! TODAY — SUNDAY, JANUARY 23 10:15-11:15AM ST. PETER LIBRARY IN URSULINE HALL Traditionally, Mystagogy was for all who just came into the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil. Today, these once-a-month sessions at St. Peter, provides an opportunity TO GROW IN FAITH (TGIF). Even if you have been a Catholic since birth, you are welcome to be a part of this group. We review the Scripture readings, and discuss how they relate to us. If you are interested, please join us after 9am Sunday Mass at any or all of the sessions listed below. If you are hungry, stop by first at the kitchen for some coffee and pastries!
