Precleaning or intermediate cleaning in the production
or fine cleaning before coating, no matter
which – Elma offers a large and thought-through
range of equipment for ultrasonic cleaning.
The ultrasonic technology is the core of most of the
equipment. Based on decades of experience in the
ultrasonic technology, we now use multi-frequency
technology and controlled cavitation fields in our efficient
Elma systems. These new technologies have
been developed with our customers and for our
customers. They can be used in a vast number of
different applications.
The chemical engineers in our Elma application
laboratory cooperate closely with the customer to
develop the perfect cleaning solutions not only for
standard industrial cleaning jobs, but also for the
highly demanding cleaning processes in the medical
field, in the aerospace or optical industries and for
electro-plating.
Very often, simple manual standard units are used.
For rather more difficult and demanding applications,
e.g. if the manufactured parts need to be coated
after cleaning, the cost-efficient X-tra Line system
is a perfect solution. It consists of well-proven
serial components which can be arranged to create
a complete cleaning system that perfectly fits the
cleaning application and satisfies even the most exigent
demands. Both manually operated systems and
fully automatic robot devices are available, including
a twin robot transportation system. The cleaning line
is available as open system, or completely encased
with laminar flow boxes to allow operation in clean
room conditions.
If a simple solution is asked for, Elma offers manual
systems with fixed hand shower device which can be
used for both precleaning and final cleaning purposes.

Rough or fine cleaning, manually

for every application
Extremely dirty parts can be cleaned in very short
cleaning cycles in the new extra large units X-tra XL.
Depending on the geometry and on the amount of
parts to be cleaned, the units can be equipped with
bottom sound or side sound, and like the X-tra Line
and X-tra basic units they are equipped with the
multi-frequency technology.
The strong low frequency is for rough cleaning applications,
the more gentle high frequency is perfect
for fine cleaning applications.
On units with side sound, the cavitation field control
is an additional feature. The continuous shifting of
sound maxima makes the cleaning performance
even more uniform
throughout the bath.
The well-known serial units are available either
as Elmasonic S models or as the professional
Elmasonic P models.
The table-top units do an excellent job in all sorts of
businesses from the dental practice or laboratory to
the jeweller’s workshop or the optical store. In the
laboratory, the Elmasonic P units are indispensable
instruments. With their multi-frequency technology
they can be applied to carry out typical standard
laboratory jobs fast and efficiently, and in a reproducible
manner.
Elma – Environmental issues come first
For any new product, the functionality and the typical
demands of a certain business branch are of
course crucial factors, but environmental issues have
become a major issue. Usually, cleaning units and
systems are employed for the removal of dirt particals
and substances which need to be disposed of in
agreement with various regulations, depending on
quantity and chemical composition.
Elma offers a large range of biodegrable cleaning
chemicals, developed and produced by Elma.
All cleaning chemicals are registered with the German
Federal Environmental Agency. Customers receive
precise instructions on the waste disposal of
used chemicals together with the product.
In order to be able to use the cleaning chemicals
efficiently and over a long time, “Plug & Play” oil
separators and filter units are available which help
to protect the environment and keep the cost of
consumables down.
Elma deals with special customers’ requirements for
either rough or fine cleaning, for manually operated
or automatic cleaning lines and for special cleaning
applications individually and reliably. Together with
our customers we find the perfect solution.

In addition to the oscillation of cleaning items in the Flex Line unit, the
ultrasonic cleaner can be combined with a rinsing tank. The two units
combined allow a full cleaning cycle with cleaning and rinsing and so
presents a complete cleaning station.
