DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING FEE SCHEDULE 1 November 2011 All medical practitioners will be paid 100% of the MBS for diagnostic imaging services, where they have the appropriate qualifications updated with Medicare Australia. Local Medical Officers claiming from the Diagnostic Imaging Fee Schedule can also claim the relevant Veterans Access Payment (VAP) on these items. For items not listed in the Diagnostic Imaging Fee schedule please refer to the appropriate schedule in this booklet. • For medical attendances and consultations provided by general practitioners participating in DVA’s Local Medical Officer Scheme, please use the Local Medical Fee Schedule for the relevant fees. • For derived fees for Local Medical Officers, please use the Derived Fees for Local Medical Officers Fee Schedule. • For all specialist attendances and consultations, investigative and general medical procedures claim from the Repatriation Medical Fee Schedule. • For In Hospital anaesthetic services please use Relative Value Guide Fee Schedule. • For pathology services please use the Pathology Fee Schedule. 64 1 NOVEMBER 2011 – 31 OCTOBER 2012
