DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING FEE SCHEDULE<br />

1 November 2011<br />

All medical practitioners will be paid 100% <strong>of</strong> the MBS <strong>for</strong> diagnostic imaging services,<br />

where they have the appropriate qualifications updated with Medicare Australia.<br />

Local <strong>Medical</strong> Officers claiming from the Diagnostic Imaging <strong>Fee</strong> Schedule can also claim<br />

the relevant Veterans Access Payment (VAP) on these items.<br />

For items not listed in the Diagnostic Imaging <strong>Fee</strong> schedule please refer to the appropriate<br />

schedule in this booklet.<br />

• For medical attendances and consultations provided by general practitioners<br />

participating in DVA’s Local <strong>Medical</strong> Officer Scheme, please use the Local <strong>Medical</strong><br />

<strong>Fee</strong> Schedule <strong>for</strong> the relevant fees.<br />

• For derived fees <strong>for</strong> Local <strong>Medical</strong> Officers, please use the Derived <strong>Fee</strong>s <strong>for</strong> Local<br />

<strong>Medical</strong> Officers <strong>Fee</strong> Schedule.<br />

• For all specialist attendances and consultations, investigative and general medical<br />

procedures claim from the Repatriation <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Fee</strong> Schedule.<br />

• For In Hospital anaesthetic services please use Relative Value Guide <strong>Fee</strong> Schedule.<br />

• For pathology services please use the Pathology <strong>Fee</strong> Schedule.<br />
