JUNIOR CLUB CAPTAINS REPORT
OVERVIEW
The Junior Club has made another solid contribution this year for Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club.
The number of teams playing every weekend around Auckland was slightly down from previous years as the number of
players has dropped from the prior year.
However it has been a pleasure to see the HPCC colours on display at grounds all over Auckland during the excellent
weather.
COMMITTEE
The Junior Committee had a mixture of experienced and new members in the 2011-12 season.
All activity in the Junior Club is governed by the Junior Committee Membership is principally composed of the respective
Grade Liaison Officers. All these people are volunteers who give hours / days of their time for the enjoyment of junior
cricket.
A huge vote of thanks goes to the respective Grade Liaison Officers who this year ensured that teams were structured and
equipped to be competitive and allowed for development of the game at all levels. New Liaison Officers brought new and
fresh ideas to the running of their respective grades and together with the experienced members can only benefit HPCC
and the Junior Committee as a team. However a number of the current Junior Committee members have given notice of
their intention to stand down. This will definitely leave a huge hole in the Junior Committee.
GIRLS CRICKET
U13 AUSTRALIAN TOUR
The next U13 team has been selected to tour Australia in 2013. Fundraising will begin in earnest so please support their
fundraising ventures.
