EMAP Upgrading the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Value Chain – Access to Export Markets Being an agro-industrial development project, EMAP aims at upgrading the value chain of MAP sector in Egypt to increase competitiveness of Egyptian MAP products in export markets. Market access mission was conducted to Brazil in September 2012, where EMAP team conducted meetings with Brazilian stakeholders including the With the objective of transferring technical knowledge and exploring modern technology in Eastern Europe, EMAP conducted observational study tour to Serbia in September 2012 with the participation of 11 Egyptian MAP producers. During the visits currently deployed technology are assed and alternative industrial solutions are presented and discussed in a full day workshop conducted at the Agricultural Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and private companies. Following the mission, EMAP and ABCC jointly organized B2B event in Egypt between 5 Brazilian MAP importing companies and 35 Egyptian exporters in November 2012.
