The ECOWILL Project
ECOWILL (ECOdriving – Widespread Implementation for Learner Drivers and Licensed Drivers)
is a three-year project (2010-2013) funded by the EU’s Intelligent Energy Europe Programme.
The project aims at implementing a quality standard for short-duration Ecodriving training in
Europe. Therefore, an Ecodriving infrastructure consisting of trained and certified Ecodriving
instructors has been established throughout Europe. At the same time, ECOWILL fosters the
integration of Ecodriving into driving school education and examination in all 13 partner countries.
ECOWILL Short Duration Trainings
The listed driving instructors have successfully participated in a Train-the-Trainer Seminar on the
“ECOWILL Short Duration Ecodriving Training” and have acquired the qualification to offer and
conduct ECOWILL trainings for licensed drivers.
In particular, he/she has gathered and proven expert knowledge on the following topics:
‣ „Golden Rules of Ecodriving“ according to ECOWILL definition
‣ GDE-Matrix (Goals for Driver Education)
‣ Principles of Coaching
‣ Structure and didactics of the „Short Duration Training“
