Overview The Chamber of Food Industries (CFI) is a non-profit organization established in 1958 by the presidential decree number 453, under the umbrella of the Federation of Egyptian Industries- FEI. CFI is the official representative of the Egyptian Food Industry, with a member base of more than 2500 companies. CFI is the platform that represents the processed food & beverage industry before the GOE. Solving and developing every aspect of the business environment that may affect the industry’s competitiveness domestically and globally. CFI members are those entities that have a processing and/or packing activities related to the Food & Beverage Industry. The pool of members is clustered according to their products into nine divisions: 1. Sugar, Confectionery & Chocolates 6.Oil and Vegetable fats 2. Milk & Dairy Products 7.Specialty Foods, yeast and food additives 3. Juices, Drinks and Water 8.Different Food Products 4. Meat, Poultry & Fish 9.Tobacco & Cigarettes 5. Food Export Council (FEC) Overview The Food Export Council is one of the leading export councils established by the Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade. It mainly aims at linking both production and exports policies, promote Egyptian exports and highlight Egyptian food products as a reputable product in international markets. The Food Export Council FEC is the link between private sector exporters and government, the council aims to improve the competitive advantage of the sector, and to strengthen the industry’s positive image in the world market place. FEC members are the leading exporting companies in the field covering 27 of the food industry sub sectors. Vision & Mission FEC is to be a lean institution acting as a think tank, catalyst and facilitator for all actions and policy advocacy needed to continuously and dynamically enhance export objectives of the Egyptian food industry at the macro level as well as realize of the aspirations of the Egyptian food exporters.
