Access to Export Markets<br />
Overview<br />
The project aims at upgrading the <strong>Egyptian</strong> Medicinal and Aromatic Plants sector by establishing an integrated quality<br />
and safety scheme, improving varieties, increasing productivity, reducing losses, and upgrading production and processing<br />
technologies. The project implements specialized programs for value addition and improving access to international<br />
markets.<br />
The project, started in 2011 for a duration of four years, is implemented by the Agriculture and Agro-Industries Technology<br />
Center - Ministry for Industry and Foreign Trade in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development<br />
Organization (UNIDO) funded by the Swiss Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).<br />
