Fusion UV revolutionized the UV curing industry with the invention of microwave
curing technology in 1971. We continue this tradition today by manufacturing the
most advanced UV curing systems and the highest quality spare parts
available to the industry.

Quality
Fusion UV received full ISO certification in 1993 and maintains
that certification today. In 2010 Fusion UV received certification
to the newest ISO standard, 9001:2008, underscoring our
continuing commitment to provide the highest quality
components, systems, support, training, process development
and after-sales service.
Fusion UV lamp systems undergo stringent testing and
certification by outside agencies such as TUV, ETL and CE.
As a result of the acquisition of Fusion UV by Heraeus Noblelight, the name of the company changed from Fusion UV Systems Inc.

Bulbs
100% Manufactured by Fusion UV
Fusion UV pioneered electrodeless bulb technology.
Our technical expertise, quality programs, proprietary manufacturing
processes and repeatability of lamp performance have set the standard
for the industry.
The stable and consistent output of our bulbs is well documented in
our ongoing life testing facility. Data collected on individual bulbs over
a period of thousands of hours shows no change in bulb spectra and
output power.
Bulbs with different spectral outputs allow you to match the lamp
output to your changing chemistry and application needs for improved
quality and cure speeds.
During manufacture, each bulb is marked with a unique code and
serial number allowing for traceability of the part and its materials.
All bulbs are subject to visual and dimensional inspections as well as
a fully operational final test where spectral radiance is measured and
recorded for each bulb. This final test utilizes a NIST traceable standard
for bulb output.
The result is consistent performance from bulb to bulb, every time.
Fusion UV’s high quality, high grade quartz bulbs are fully guaranteed
to last 8,000 hours*, with an even longer lifetime reported by most
users.
Fusion UV is compliant with guidelines established by the Interstate
Mercury Education & Reduction Clearinghouse (IMERC).
Reflectors
An important component of any UV curing system is the reflector.
Using high quality material and a high efficiency elliptical design, the
reflector focuses the maximum amount of the bulb’s UV energy into a
narrow zone and onto the substrate.
A properly maintained Fusion UV reflector will last a long time.
How long? Tests conducted in Fusion UV’s life test facility show that a
standard R500 reflector, cleaned periodically per standard cleaning
procedures, remains consistent to +/-10% in peak irradiance and UV
exposure after 14,000 hours of operation!
Screens
The RF screen is another critical component that acts as an electrical
seal and a barrier to RF energy.
Fusion UV RF screens are designed and constructed using the highest
quality materials to handle the extreme operating environment and
provide long lasting, reliable operation.
Unless damaged by mishandling, Fusion UV RF screens will last
for years.

Magnetrons
The magnetron was invented in 1921 by Albert Wallace Hull. Fifty
years later, physicists at Fusion UV found a way to use magnetrons to
make the most reliable UV curing lamp system in the world!
Magnetrons are high frequency oscillating tubes that generate
microwave energy. That energy is what powers the electrodeless bulb in
Fusion UV lamp systems. Fusion UV magnetrons are designed
specifically for use in Fusion UV microwave lamp systems in cooperation
with our suppliers. Our magnetrons go through stringent testing, which
sometimes lasts years. Most other magnetrons are designed for use in
commercial microwave ovens.
Fusion UV magnetrons are warranted on a pro-rated basis for up to
8,000 hours depending on the model. Most users report lifetimes in
excess of the warranty period.
Maintenance Kits
Fusion UV has created maintenance kits that provide customers with
all of the parts necessary to properly maintain their lamp systems. The
kits come in two forms, “Basic” and “Deluxe”.
The Basic Kit contains a replacement bulb, reflector, and RF screen
and is intended for replacement of the main lamp cavity components.
The Deluxe Kit consists of a replacement bulb, reflector, RF screen,
magnetrons, photocell and pressure switch and is intended for
customers who want to completely rebuild their lamp unit.
Maintenance Kits are priced 10% below the price of the individual
components!
Should you purchase components from sources other than Fusion UV… you may save a little, but you will lose a lot!

Customer Support
The Technical Service Group is responsible for worldwide after-sales support which includes: Repair services (whether returned to a Fusion UV
office or at the customer site), new equipment commissioning, maintenance and operator training, telephone/email/fax support, maintenance programs
(such as multi-level service contracts) and certified rebuilt equipment. Our service staff averages nearly 16 years of hands-on experience with Fusion UV
equipment!
The Applications Engineering Group concentrates on the optimization of a customer’s UV process, or proposed process, and assisting with
troubleshooting their UV curing process. This group’s expertise includes system selection and configuration, determination of system size, lamp type,
optics, machine design concepts, integration, air handling systems and measurement (radiometry and thermometry).
Applications Engineering oversees and operates applications labs in which processes can be developed, demonstrated or refined using any of a wide
range of UV exposure equipment available, including all lamp and bulb types.
Vendor Managed Inventories (Consignment) are available to qualified customers looking to reduce costs while ensuring that they always have
parts on hand to ensure maximum uptime of their equipment. With a VMI program, Fusion UV will stock spare parts at the customer’s facility at no cost
to the customer until the parts are actually used. Once parts are used, Fusion UV replenishes the inventory immediately.
