Have your say on the rent increase proposals
Tenants work with us every year to develop
a number of rent setting options . This year,
those tenants that worked with us to set
rents recommend you vote for option 1.
This will allow us to continue to deliver
our current services, provide new services,
continue our investment in your homes
and continue to build new homes.
To have your say, you need to complete
the questionnaire on the back of the letter
that came with this newsletter. The results
of this year’s consultation will be passed to
your councillors when the Neighbourhood
Services Committee makes a final decision
on rents in February 2012. •
The council has involved tenants in housing
policy initiatives for more than ten years and plans
to broaden the number of tenants included in
the future.
Angus Council’s housing spokesperson,
Councillor Jim Millar commented: “One of the
council’s roles is to make sure we reach out to
the community to canvas their views, using a
range of methods. I’m pleased that the success
of these events shows that we are continuing to
go about things in the right way.
“We especially value the contribution of tenants
in shaping our housing services – these road
shows have highlighted how their participation
is helping us to ensure that we deliver the right
kind of housing that our customers want and
expect.” •
