industry worldwide and the people and companies working in it. PDAC’s strength and credibility
are based on its membership and the quality and relevance of its advocacy work, development
of leading practice and the sharing of knowledge. Your membership fee is used to support the
following programs:
Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange
The world’s leading Convention for people, companies, and organizations in,
or connected with, mineral exploration. PDAC Convention has grown in size,
stature and influence over the years and today is the venue of choice for the
world’s mineral industry.
technology • expanded advocacy efforts.
Advocacy
PDAC takes the interests and concerns of the mineral exploration industry
to governments, international institutions, and communities of interest,
and seeks conditions that will foster and sustain the industry. Much of the
Association’s membership and Convention revenues are allocated to our
advocacy work.
Our principal advocacy areas include aboriginal affairs • finance
and taxation • geosciences • human resources/student affairs •
international issues • land access and mining regulations •
securities regulations.
Education & Training
importance of minerals in their everyday lives. The student-industry mineral
exploration workshop, run annually, introduces university geoscience
students to the real world of exploration.
Provides balanced information about the industry to this country’s
future policy and decision makers and helps to meet the industry’s
future human resources requirements.
