We thank the Gender and Reproductive Health Rights Technical Work<strong>in</strong>g Group <strong>of</strong><br />

the DRH, who put together ‘the Multi-Sectoral <str<strong>on</strong>g>Guidel<strong>in</strong>es</str<strong>on</strong>g> Task Force’ as the technical<br />

work<strong>in</strong>g team for this review. This <strong>in</strong>cluded members from the various pr<strong>of</strong>essi<strong>on</strong>al<br />

associati<strong>on</strong>s that house the health, legal and psycho-social fraternities, all <strong>of</strong> whom<br />

c<strong>on</strong>tributed c<strong>on</strong>siderably to the development <strong>of</strong> these guidel<strong>in</strong>es.<br />

This is the 2 nd editi<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Nati<strong>on</strong>al</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Guidel<strong>in</strong>es</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sexual</strong> <strong>Violence</strong><br />

and we acknowledge all those who c<strong>on</strong>tributed towards the development <strong>of</strong> the first<br />

editi<strong>on</strong>. Special thanks also go to the <strong>in</strong>stituti<strong>on</strong>s and their members <strong>of</strong> staff <strong>in</strong> which<br />

Ian Kanyanya, the Deputy Co-ord<strong>in</strong>ator <strong>of</strong> the GBV Recovery Center <strong>in</strong> KNH for their<br />

<strong>in</strong>valuable <strong>in</strong>put.<br />

This entire review was facilitated and coord<strong>in</strong>ated by a core secretariat which spent a<br />

lot <strong>of</strong> time and effort to ensure that the process was a success. Special gratitude goes<br />

to Dr. Margaret Meme <strong>of</strong> DRH, Lucy Kiama <strong>of</strong> GTZ and Rukia Yass<strong>in</strong> <strong>of</strong> LVCT, work<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>in</strong> close collaborati<strong>on</strong> with other members <strong>of</strong> staff from their respective organizati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />

The technical assistance <strong>of</strong> the process <strong>of</strong> review<strong>in</strong>g these guidel<strong>in</strong>es, retreat and the<br />
