<strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> Chapter 3 33<br />

User manual<br />

Basic operation<br />

3.4 Monitoring the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> with TMA<br />

Using the monitor interface, you can configure the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> and monitor the status<br />

and performance. Refer to 4 - Monitor interface on page 37 for more information. However, it is also possible<br />

to monitor the status and performance of the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> and to activate loop-back<br />

tests on the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> by using TMA. This is not possible by connecting TMA directly<br />

to the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong>, but by connecting to a Telindus <strong>SHDSL</strong> device and retrieving the<br />

information from the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> over the EOC channel.<br />

The following gives an overview of this section:<br />

• 3.4.1 - Starting a TMA session on page 34<br />

• 3.4.2 - Activating a test loop with TMA on page 35
