Basic operation<br />
3.1 Connecting the NE side and FE side<br />
When you set up an <strong>SHDSL</strong> link, the central <strong>SHDSL</strong> device has to be master and the remote <strong>SHDSL</strong><br />
device has to be the slave (e.g. refer to the configuration attribute ”channel“ on the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong><br />
modem).<br />
The <strong>SHDSL</strong> interface of the <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> consists of two “sides”:<br />

Description<br />
This side operates in slave mode and has to be connected to the central<br />
<strong>SHDSL</strong> device.<br />
If there is more than one repeater in the link, then the NE side of one repeater<br />
has to be connected to the FE side of the other repeater.<br />
This side operates in master mode and has to be connected to the remote<br />
<strong>SHDSL</strong> device.<br />
If there is more than one repeater in the link, then the FE side of one repeater<br />
has to be connected to the NE side of the other repeater.<br />
