22 Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P Chapter 2 User manual Installing and connecting the Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P Wiring the male IP67 power plug To attach the male IP67 power plug to the cable, proceed as follows: Step Action 1 Unscrew the nut (6). 2 Remove the IP67 plate (3). 3 Unscrew the connector housing (2) from connector block (1). 4 Slide the cable through the nut (6), the pressure ring (5), the wire transit (4) and the connector housing (2). 5 Wire the cable to the connector block (1). Refer to 5.8 - Power connector lay-out on page 54. 6 Screw the connector housing (2) and the connector block (1) together. 7 If the diameter of the cable is not big enough to seal the opening of the wire transit (4) air- and watertight, then use the high temperature silicone paste (delivered with the outdoor Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P) to glue the cable into the wire transit (4). This will ensure the IP67 quality. Refer to step 8 of the procedure Wiring the male IP67 signal plug on page 20. 8 Tighten the nut (6). This nut ensures the IP67 quality. 9 Now plug the male IP67 power plug you just wired into the female IP67 power connector. Refer to 2.6.1 - Parts of the outdoor Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P on page 16.

The Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P can either be powered locally or remotely by the LTU. Use the power selection switch to select between local and dual powering. Switch setting LP (local power) DP (dual power) Function The Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P is powered by a local power supply only. The Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P is powered remotely by the LTU. However, you can also connect a local power supply. In that case, if the remote power fails, then the local power takes over. Changing the LP/DP switch setting In order to change the LP/DP switch setting, proceed as follows: Step Action 1 Loosen the screws that mount the lid to the bottom of the outdoor housing and remove the lid. When the security seal is present, it must be cut and removed. 2 Change the LP/DP switch setting. 3 Put the lid on the bottom of the outdoor housing and fasten the screws.

LP/DP switch function<br />

The LP/DP switch is the power selection switch. The <strong>Crocus</strong> <strong>SHDSL</strong> <strong>Repeater</strong> <strong>2P</strong> can either be powered<br />

locally or remotely by the LTU. Use the power selection switch to select between local and dual powering.<br />
