User manual
Installing and connecting the Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P
Wiring the male IP67 power plug
To attach the male IP67 power plug to the cable, proceed as follows:
Step
Action
1 Unscrew the nut (6).
2 Remove the IP67 plate (3).
3 Unscrew the connector housing (2) from connector block (1).
4 Slide the cable through the nut (6), the pressure ring (5), the wire transit (4) and the connector
housing (2).
5 Wire the cable to the connector block (1). Refer to 5.8 - Power connector lay-out on
page 54.
6 Screw the connector housing (2) and the connector block (1) together.
7 If the diameter of the cable is not big enough to seal the opening of the wire transit (4)
air- and watertight, then use the high temperature silicone paste (delivered with the outdoor
Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P) to glue the cable into the wire transit (4). This will
ensure the IP67 quality. Refer to step 8 of the procedure Wiring the male IP67 signal plug
on page 20.
8 Tighten the nut (6). This nut ensures the IP67 quality.
9 Now plug the male IP67 power plug you just wired into the female IP67 power connector.
Refer to 2.6.1 - Parts of the outdoor Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P on page 16.
