User manual
Installing and connecting the Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P
Wiring the male IP67 signal plug
To attach the male IP67 signal plug to the cable, proceed as follows:
Step
Action
1 Unscrew the 4 screws (2) that attach the connector block to the connector housing.
2 Take the connector block (1) out of the connector housing (3).
3 Unscrew the nut (6).
4 Remove the IP67 plate (5).
5 Slide the cable through the nut (6) and the wire transit (4) into the connector housing (3).
6 Wire the cable to the connector block (1). Refer to 5.5 - Outdoor Crocus SHDSL Repeater
2P IP67 signal connector lay-out on page 50.
7 Put the connector block (1) back into the connector housing and tighten the screws (2).
8 If the diameter of the cable is not big enough to seal the opening of the wire transit (4)
air- and watertight, then use the high temperature silicone paste (delivered with the outdoor
Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P) to glue the cable into the wire transit (4). This will
ensure the IP67 quality. Proceed as follows:
1. Apply the high temperature silicone paste as indicated in the figure below.
2. Slide the nut over the wire transit.
3. Tighten the nut.
9 Tighten the nut (6). This nut ensures the IP67 quality.
10 Now plug the male IP67 signal plug you just wired into the female IP67 signal connector.
Refer to 2.6.1 - Parts of the outdoor Crocus SHDSL Repeater 2P on page 16.
