The California Surveyor<br />

is the quarterly publicati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> The California Land Surveyors<br />

Associati<strong>on</strong> and is pubhshed as a service to the Land <strong>Surveying</strong> pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong><br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Cahfornia. It is mailed to all Licensed Land Surveyors<br />

and Land Surveyors in Training in the state <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> California as well as<br />

to all members <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> California Land Surveyors Associati<strong>on</strong>. The<br />

California Surveyor is an open forum for all surveyors, with an<br />

editorial policy predicated <strong>on</strong> the preamble to the c<strong>on</strong>stituti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the<br />

California Land Surveyors Associati<strong>on</strong> and its stated aims and objectives,<br />

which read:<br />

"Recognizing that the true merit <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> is determined by<br />

the value <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> its services to society, the 'California Land Surveyors<br />

Associati<strong>on</strong>' does hereby dedicate itself to the promoti<strong>on</strong> and protecti<strong>on</strong><br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the pr<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>essi<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Land <strong>Surveying</strong> as a social and<br />

ec<strong>on</strong>omic influence vital to the welfare <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> society, community and<br />
