EUROPEAN WUSHU FEDERATION<br />
14 TH EUROPEAN WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPS<br />
General Information<br />
Date and location<br />
The 14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships for adults and juniors (IWuF events, Taolu and Sanda)<br />
will be hold from 25th to 31st March 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia.<br />
Teams must arrive the 25th March 2012 prior, to 19:30 (see Competition schedule)<br />
Judges must arrive on 23d March 2012, prior 19:30 (see Competition schedule). The judges<br />
course will be held on 24th and 25th March. The fee for “C” degree judges for the refreshing<br />
course is 50€ , for new judges - 150€. Payments for this can be done prior the course to the<br />
EWuF Treasurer.<br />
The EWGS “Duan” (adult grade) and “Ji”(children degree) examination will take place the<br />
24th and 25th March at 19.00 (for 1st and 2d Duan changquan, taijiquan and wingchun).<br />
The EWUF Congress will be hold on March 26 th 2012 (place and time to be communicated)<br />
Competition and training venue<br />
The entire championships and all training sessions will take place at the<br />
Lasnamäe Kergejõustikuhall Address is: Punane 45, Tallinn<br />
Participants<br />
Only official EWuF members are allowed to attend this championship. The participation is<br />
subject to the payment of the EWuF membership fees (2012 included to be paid prior the EC 14<br />
by bank transfer).<br />
Composition of team<br />
See the final registration form.<br />
In addition to this registration form the summary of the allowed numbers:<br />
Pay attention the total number of athletes is set to 70.<br />
One team leader;<br />
One IWuF taolu coach;<br />
Two Sanda coach;<br />
One modern taolu – the judge must attend the judges course;<br />
One Sanda judge – the judge must attend the judges course;<br />
One team doctor for taolu;<br />
One team doctor for Sanda;<br />
Maximum 6 IWuF taolu Category C (children age 9 – 11) – any mixture of boys and girls is<br />
allowed. Each IWuF Category C competitor may at most enter 4 competition events (Selected<br />
from and not exceeding 1 barehanded routine, 1 short weapon routine, 1 long weapon routine and<br />
1 dual event);<br />

Maximum 6 IWuF taolu Category B (cadets age 12 – 14) – any mixture of boys and girls is<br />
allowed. Each IWuF Category B competitor may at most enter 4 competition events (Selected<br />
from and not exceeding 1 barehanded routine, 1 short weapon routine, 1 long weapon routine and<br />
1 dual event);<br />
Maximum 6 IWuF taolu Category A (juniors age 15 – 17) – any mixture of boys and girls is<br />
allowed. Each IWuF Category A competitor may at most enter 4 competition events (Selected<br />
from and not exceeding 1 barehanded routine, 1 short weapon routine, 1 long weapon routine and<br />
1 dual event);<br />
Maximum 10 IWuF taolu participants (adults age above 18 - 35 (45 for TTQ &TTJ) – any<br />
mixture of men and women is allowed. Each IWuF Taolu competitor may at most enter 4<br />
competition events (selected from and not exceeding 1 barehanded routine, 1 short weapon<br />
routine, 1 long weapon routine and 1 dual event);<br />
Maximum 8 male and 4 female Sanda participants (adults age 15 – 16) – Each team may enter<br />
only one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda competitor may enter only one (1)<br />
category;<br />
Maximum 8 male and 4 female Sanda participants (adults age 17 – 18) – Each team may enter<br />
only one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda competitor may enter only one (1)<br />
category;<br />
Maximum 11 male and 7 female Sanda participants (adults 18 - 35) – Each team may enter only<br />
one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda competitor may enter only one (1)<br />
category;<br />
the age calculation is based on January 1 st 2012<br />
Competition methods<br />
a. Taolu<br />
IWuF taolu category C (age 9 – 11)<br />
Chang quan (elementary routine – 32 form), Jianshu (elementary routine), Daoshu<br />
(elementary routine – 32 form), Gunshu (elementary routine), Qiangshu (elementary routine),<br />
Nanquan (elementary routine – 32 form), Nandao (elementary routine), Nangun (elementary<br />
routine). Dual Events: 1) bare hand; 2) with weapons;<br />
IWuF taolu category B (age 11 – 14)<br />
Chang quan (1 st set of International Competition Taolu), Jianshu (1 st set of International<br />
Competition Taolu), Daoshu (1 st set of International Competition Taolu), Gunshu (1 st set of<br />
International Competition Taolu), Qiangshu ((1 st set of International Competition Taolu),<br />
Nanquan (International Competition Taolu), Nandao (International Competition Taolu),<br />
Nangun (International Competition Taolu), Taijiquan (24 form), Taijijian (32 form), Dual<br />
Events: 1) bare hand; 2) with weapons;<br />
IWuF taolu category A (age 15 – 17)<br />
Chang quan (2 nd set of International Competition Taolu), Jianshu (2 nd set of International<br />
Competition Taolu), Daoshu (2 nd set of International Competition Taolu), Gunshu (2 nd set of<br />
International Competition Taolu), Qiangshu ((1 st set of International Competition Taolu),<br />
Nanquan (International Competition Taolu), Nandao (International Competition Taolu),<br />
Nangun (International Competition Taolu), Taijiquan (42 form), Taijijian (42 form), Dual<br />
Events: 1) bare hand; 2) with weapons;<br />
IWuF taolu (18 -35 years (up to 45 for Taijiquan et Taijijian)<br />

Changquan, Jianshu, Daoshu, Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun, Taijiquan,<br />
Taijijian. Dual Events: 1) bare hand; 2) with weapons;<br />
A taolu athlete can only participate in 4 events, one barehand, one short weapon, one long<br />
weapon and one dual event.<br />
Single events (including weapons are hold under IWuF Rules with difficulty movements<br />
(nandu).<br />
The nandu are only for the adult competition. The nandu forms are published at the<br />
website of EWuF.<br />
b. Sanda<br />
Sanda (age 15 – 16)<br />
Male: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg<br />
Female: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg<br />
Each team may enter only one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda<br />
competitor may enter only one (1) category.<br />
Sanda (age 17 – 18)<br />
Male: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg<br />
Female: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg<br />
Each team may enter only one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda<br />
competitor may enter only one (1) category.<br />
Sanda (18 - 35 years)<br />
Male: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 90kg+<br />
Female: 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg<br />
Each team may enter only one (1) competitor for one (1) category and each Sanda<br />
competitor may enter only one (1) category.<br />
Registration must be within the deadline to send the final entry form. Failure to register this<br />
information within the allotted time will disqualify the entry and the team or late athlete will not<br />
be allowed to compete.<br />
Judges: Each EWuF member send their own judges. At least 2 judges should be provided. If a<br />
member does not send judges they will have a penalty of 500€.<br />
Example a member send:<br />
Team and no judges= 500€ penalty fee<br />
Team for Taolu, and 1 judge= OK<br />
Team for Sanda, and 1 judge= OK<br />
Team for Taolu and Sanda and 1 judge= 250€ penalty fee for not bringing the 2 nd judge<br />
Team for Taolu and Sanda and 2 judges= OK<br />

AWARDING<br />
There shall be separate awarding for all 7 events. All the diplomas shall have a mention as<br />
follows:<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Taolu Competition (IWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Sanda Competition (IWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Taolu Competition Youth category C (IWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Taolu Competition Youth category B (IWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Taolu Competition Youth category A (IWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Sanda Competition Youth age 15 – 16 (EWuF)”<br />
“14 th <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> Championships – Sanda Competition Youth age 17 – 18 (EWuF)”<br />
The awarding shall be done following IWuF Rules unless stated otherwise. In IWuF Taolu<br />
competition, in case there are more than 3 competitors, 3 medals are awarded. In case there are 3<br />
competitors 1 st and 2 nd places are awarded. In case there are 2 competitors, only 1 st place is<br />
awarded.<br />
There shall be a separate team event awarding for IWuF events (taolu & sanda) and EWuF events<br />
(sanda Youth).<br />

ENTRIES<br />
The Final Entry Form with events and names of the competitors must reach the EWuF<br />
Secretariat, by e-mail no later than 25th of February 2012 (24:00GMT) to<br />
pvcwushu@skynet.be<br />
Nandu forms should be downloaded from the IWuF website link<br />
http://www.ewuf.org/rules/comp_rules.html and send by e-mail ONLY to<br />
stewart.beckett@googlemail.com and cc to nika-wushu@yandex.ru and this no later than 25th<br />
of February 2012 (24:00GMT)<br />

Insurance and medical documents<br />
All athletes shall provide valid insurance and medical documents as listed in the IWuF <strong>Wushu</strong><br />
Competition regulations.<br />

All material associated with the 14 th <strong>European</strong> Championships whether used or not remains the<br />
copyright of the <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> <strong>Federation</strong>. This equally applies to all media rights and<br />
photographs videos DVD’s or any other form of reproduction whether digital of otherwise<br />
howsoever reproduced at the time of the event whether used then or at any later date and shall<br />
remain the property of the <strong>European</strong> <strong>Wushu</strong> <strong>Federation</strong> for its sole use for any purpose it may<br />
decide at its discretion. All participants entering the event shall accept and abide by this rule.<br />
