The ergonomically designed frame with one button
FullChair TM and Chair Egress TM positions, promotes
patient mobility, earlier rehabilitation and greater
independence. At the same time, the unique
Duo ® 2 advanced low-pressure surface provides
pressure relief and comfort, in any position.
TotalCare Duo TM 2 Therapy System is suitable for
patients with or at risk of skin damage including
burns, pressure sores, plastic surgery and many other
conditions.
This winning combination of positioning and pressure
relief makes a real difference to both patients and
caregivers. By reducing the need for manual lifting and
handling, TotalCare Duo TM 2 Therapy System increases

The integral Duo ® 2 support surface offers two
clinically accepted therapies in one proven product.
Duo ® 2 has a unique pressure control technology
called De-Teq ®
De-Teq ® constantly monitors the patient’s weight and
position providing the lowest possible pressures to optimise
pressure relief for all patients in all positions, thus ensuring
a high TCPO 2
at all times even in high risk patients.

Protex TM cover
Sensing zone
The fully enclosed Protex TM mattress cover is easily
cleaned. It is smooth, waterproof, moisture vapour
permeable and bacteriostatic. The two way stretch
material conforms to the patient’s body shape and
reduces friction and shear.
HandsFree TM features
HandsFree TM emergency CPR and Trendelenburg release
mechanism for instant care, even from the FullChair TM
position. Once activated, the one step CPR function
modifies the bed position and deflates the mattress
within 10 seconds.
Shearless Pivot TM Patient Position Mechanism
The unique mechanism combining the articulation
of the frame and the surface minimises shear forces,
reducing migration of the patient towards the foot
of the bed. Repositioning is minimised and patient
comfort maximised.
Transport mode
Transport mode allows patient support for two hours.
Simply unplug the bed power supply and silence
the alarm.

FullChair TM Patient Position Mechanism
and Chair Egress TM Position
Using one-button chair positioning, a single caregiver
can place the patient in a chair position, providing
an ideal position to:
• enhance respiratory mechanics
• ease nutritional difficulties
• improve psychological status
thereby effectively accelerating their rehabilitation.
By removing the footboard, the caregiver can aid the
patient to weight bear or egress the bed reducing
the risk of injury. Safe, simple and effective.
Point-of-Care TM side rail controls
FullChair TM Patient Position
All controls, information and alarm systems are
conveniently placed around the Point-of-Care TM
by the patient’s side. The OneStep TM design side rails
can be released using a single hand, tucking away
to allow unrestricted access to the patient and a zero
transfer gap. The optional Patient Weigh Scale and
bed exit alarm can also be consulted from the
Point-of-Care TM side rail controls.
FlexAfoot TM Retractable Foot Mechanism
The foot section of bed and surface can be retracted
and extended in both chair and supine positions to
provide support for the patient’s feet or to facilitate
transport in small spaces.
