"Oh, you needn't!" said <strong>Alice</strong> hastily.<br />
"If I were to give you an examination," repeated Humpty<br />
Dumpty, "what do you think I would do?"<br />
"I'm sure I haven't the slightest idea!" replied <strong>Alice</strong>, a bit<br />
anxiously.<br />
"Why, child, if I were to give you an examination—not that I<br />
would, you know—but if I were to give you an examination, then I<br />
would ask you only questions which have no answers; they are the<br />
best kind, you know!"<br />
"What's the sense of a question without an answer?" asked <strong>Alice</strong>.<br />
"Ah, that's the kind that makes you think!" he replied.<br />
"Think about what?" asked <strong>Alice</strong>.<br />
"About what the answer could be," he replied.<br />
"But I thought you said there was no answer."<br />
"There isn't," replied Humpty Dumpty, "and that's the beautiful<br />
