B. The Mock Turtle Joins In
"I liked that puzzle," said Alice. "It was simple but pleasant. 1 like
puzzles about time."
"Then let me tell you my best one!" said the Gryphon. "—Hey,
speak about time, here comes the Mock Turtle, and he certainly
seems to be taking all day about it!"
Alice looked up, and there indeed was the Mock Turtle slowly
advancing toward them, sighing and sobbing as he came.
"Why is he always so sad?" asked Alice.
