Regardless of brand or engine size, <strong>the</strong> EZ-EFI ® Master Kit bolts on<strong>to</strong> any carbureted manifold, works with your original<br />

carb-style throttle linkage and is ready <strong>to</strong> accept all OEM sensors. Everything required for installation <strong>com</strong>es with <strong>the</strong><br />

The XFI Driveshaft Speed Sensor Kit from <strong>FAST</strong> accurately measures driveshaft speed <strong>to</strong> provide better data for <strong>the</strong> traction<br />

control unit. Two magnets are fitted <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> collar around <strong>the</strong> pinion yoke, which attaches <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> driveshaft. When <strong>the</strong> magnet<br />

Big Mouth 102mm Throttle Body , it can also be used with OEM electronic 78/90mm or aftermarket 90/92mm throttle bodies<br />

(three-bolt electronic throttle bodies require an adapter). O<strong>the</strong>r features include integrated nitrous bungs and a precise bolt-on<br />

The <strong>FAST</strong> Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regula<strong>to</strong>r is a premium CNC billet regula<strong>to</strong>r designed<br />

<strong>to</strong> exact specifications by our engineers. The unit features twin -6 SAE feed side<br />

ports and one -6 SAE return port on <strong>the</strong> bot<strong>to</strong>m. The fully adjustable unit is vacuum referenced<br />

MaxJet Precision Carb Jets<br />

Often you will hear a racer say, “I made two jet changes, but <strong>the</strong> engine still didn’t<br />

run properly.” The reason for this relates directly <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> jets being used. O<strong>the</strong>r jets<br />

are mass-produced with a wide <strong>to</strong>lerance, <strong>the</strong>n plated. Many of <strong>the</strong>se jets use <strong>the</strong><br />

same orifice size with <strong>the</strong> only difference being different angle tapers that supposedly<br />

change <strong>the</strong> flow-rate characteristics. O<strong>the</strong>r jets also use a slot that requires a special,<br />

expensive <strong>to</strong>ol <strong>to</strong> install. Ultimately, <strong>the</strong>se slots be<strong>com</strong>e damaged and that damage<br />

creates a turbulence that severely affects <strong>the</strong> fuel flow as much as 50 percent.<br />

MaxJet Precision Carb Jets are available from 0.050" <strong>to</strong> 0.120" in gasoline jets and<br />

from 0.121" <strong>to</strong> 0.140" in alcohol jets. Sizes are in 0.001" increments and are <strong>com</strong>patible<br />

with all known racing fuels. MaxJet Precision Carb Jets are easily matched <strong>to</strong><br />

Holley jets; simply find <strong>the</strong> Holley size that you are currently using on <strong>the</strong> left and cross<br />

over <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> MaxJet column <strong>to</strong> find <strong>the</strong> corresponding part number.<br />

Frequently Asked Questions<br />

What are <strong>the</strong> advantages and differences between <strong>the</strong> new XFI 2.0 unit and my older “classic” system?<br />

The XFI <strong>com</strong>puter processor is four times faster than <strong>the</strong> “classic” system, allowing it <strong>to</strong> control more features simultaneously.<br />

The new XFI system uses a 104 pin wire harness versus a 60 pin wire harness on <strong>the</strong> “classic” system. Additionally,<br />

performance features that had <strong>to</strong> be purchased separately with <strong>the</strong> “classic” <strong>FAST</strong> system are now included with XFI at<br />

no additional cost. Just click on <strong>the</strong> features you want <strong>to</strong> control in <strong>the</strong> included tuning software, i.e. four stage power adder<br />

control, boost control, traction control, etc. The XFI can also be run in ei<strong>the</strong>r batch fire or sequential mode.<br />

How can I upgrade my XFI <strong>to</strong> XFI 2.0 ?<br />

Upgrading your original XFI requires a flash update <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> C-Com ® XFI Windows-based software and can be e-mailed directly<br />

<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> cus<strong>to</strong>mer. Call a <strong>FAST</strong> technical service rep <strong>to</strong> have <strong>the</strong> file emailed <strong>to</strong> you. He or she will simply need <strong>to</strong> know<br />

<strong>the</strong> serial number of your unit. The unit does not need <strong>to</strong> be sent <strong>to</strong> <strong>FAST</strong> , but if you wish <strong>to</strong> have your cover updated <strong>to</strong><br />

reflect <strong>the</strong> change, <strong>the</strong> unit may be shipped <strong>to</strong> <strong>FAST</strong> for replacement for a small fee.<br />

With <strong>the</strong> new XFI 2.0 system, do I need a separate data logger?<br />

The XFI 2.0 can be purchased with or without Internal Data Logging. If purchased without <strong>the</strong> data logging feature, <strong>the</strong> XFI <br />

will record <strong>to</strong> a lap<strong>to</strong>p when connected. <strong>FAST</strong> also offers an easy-<strong>to</strong>-use external data logger that simply plugs in<strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

XFI . The external data logger will record up <strong>to</strong> one hour of data and does not require <strong>the</strong> use of a lap<strong>to</strong>p.<br />

Can I add <strong>the</strong> Internal Data Logging and/or Intelligent Traction Control options <strong>to</strong> my existing XFI ECU?<br />

The answer is yes. Internal Data Logging can be added as a <strong>download</strong> via e-mail, or <strong>FAST</strong> can send a CD with <strong>the</strong> necessary<br />

option file. To upgrade an existing XFI <strong>to</strong> Intelligent Traction Control , you will need <strong>to</strong> send in <strong>the</strong> ECU, and <strong>FAST</strong> will<br />

upgrade it with <strong>the</strong> option file and a new billet enclosure that clearly identifies <strong>the</strong> ECU as having this option. You must call<br />

first and obtain a Return Authorization Number before sending an ECU in for this upgrade.<br />

What’s <strong>the</strong> difference between “batch firing” or “bank-<strong>to</strong>-bank” vs. “sequential” systems? Which do I need?<br />

Batch fire systems fire all <strong>the</strong> injec<strong>to</strong>rs simultaneously. Bank-<strong>to</strong>-bank systems fire <strong>the</strong> fuel injec<strong>to</strong>rs in “banks”; half of <strong>the</strong>m<br />

fire on one engine revolution and <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r half fire <strong>the</strong> next engine revolution. A sequential system fires <strong>the</strong> fuel injec<strong>to</strong>r for<br />

each individual cylinder in <strong>the</strong> firing order of <strong>the</strong> engine. In most cases, bank firing will be fine, but if you’re using an extremely<br />

radical camshaft, high boost or over 600 horsepower, you might find sequential <strong>to</strong> be a slightly better fit. It will usually make<br />

marginally more power and help some radical engines idle better.<br />

What is <strong>the</strong> Self Learning Au<strong>to</strong> Tuning VE Table?<br />

The Self Learning Au<strong>to</strong> Tuning VE Table has two <strong>com</strong>ponents. The first is a process known as closed loop fuel control. Using<br />

feedback from an oxygen sensor in <strong>the</strong> exhaust stream, it constantly makes fueling adjustments <strong>to</strong> <strong>com</strong>pensate for different<br />

engine conditions. The system works best when operating with well tuned base VE/fuel tables, but it can also help <strong>com</strong>pensate<br />

for less than perfect base tables. The Adaptive Learning aspect goes far beyond normal closed loop fuel control. It uses<br />

oxygen sensor feedback <strong>to</strong> adjust <strong>the</strong> underlying base VE table and significantly reduce <strong>the</strong> amount of hand tuning required.<br />

The whole process can also be turned off <strong>to</strong> allow for manual tuning.<br />

Do I need fuel rails, injec<strong>to</strong>r spacers or o<strong>the</strong>r upgrades <strong>to</strong> install <strong>the</strong> LSX R or LSX RT Manifold?<br />

This depends on several fac<strong>to</strong>rs. Refer <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> application chart on page 24. <strong>FAST</strong> re<strong>com</strong>mends using <strong>FAST</strong> Billet Fuel Rail<br />

Kits for <strong>the</strong> best appearance and performance.<br />

Do I need a special type of intake manifold for my EZ-EFI ® system?<br />

No. Any manifold you have used with a 4 barrel carbure<strong>to</strong>r will work with this system. It has been tested with dual and single<br />

plane intakes. However, as with carbure<strong>to</strong>rs, using adap<strong>to</strong>r plates <strong>to</strong> adapt a 4 barrel <strong>to</strong> 2 barrel is not re<strong>com</strong>mended due <strong>to</strong><br />

poor air and fuel distribution.<br />

Fuel Air Spark Technology (<strong>FAST</strong> ) warrants that all of its products are free from defects in material and workmanship, for a<br />

period of one year. The warranty period begins from <strong>the</strong> date of purchase. We re<strong>com</strong>mend that you keep your invoice or receipt<br />

because proof of purchase date is required.<br />

This limited warranty shall only cover <strong>the</strong> original purchaser.<br />
