MINI – COURSES
The following courses will be offered as part of the summer school program. These courses will
not follow the same 5 week schedule. Check out the individual courses for specific dates and
times.
Drama Workshop (gr. 1-6) Gym
Students will learn what goes into the production of live theater such as High School Musical and
the classics with a twist, maybe Cinderella Goes Disco. This will include acting, singing,
dancing, set designing and costume making. It will culminate in a live performance for parents
and guests. This will be a three hour course. It will be offered in two sessions. You may choose
either session or both sessions.
Session I July 1 – July 17 (every day) 9 am – 12 noon Cost $170
Session II July 18 –August 2 (every day) 9 am – 12 noon Cost $170
No Class July 4 th and July 5 th
Science Beyond the Classroom (gr. 3-6)
Learn about flight while you build a rocket and prepare for launch. Bring magnetism to w whole
new level as we design an object that floats on air. Send secret messages to a friend with a
combination of electricity and magnetism. Join us as we expand classroom science with fun,
project-based activities. Different activities each week, so you can enroll for the full 5 weeks!

Backyard Games (gr. 3-6)
Will you be the next “Jam-bassador”? You’ll find out when you try the new and exciting game of
KanJam! Learn fun, new games and skills. Featuring KanJam, ladder ball Frisbee golf and many
more. Let the games begin!

Grade 5 Summer Reading Fun!
Calling all students entering sixth grade!. Do you think you might put off your summer reading
until the last minute? Then this class is for you. Consider signing up of one or both sessions of
this course. We will start by reading Crash together and discuss the entertaining lives of “Crash”
Coogan and Penn Webb. The second session of the course we will read a second required book
together. By the end, your summer reading will be completed and the rest of the summer will be
yours to enjoy!
