The hotel has played a significant part in the history of Orton Longueville, as a
special educational establishment, as a military training camp (with its own tale of
romance) and in its early days as the seat of the Marquesses of Huntly. Famously
associated with the well-known brand of gin, the Gordon family were resident
during the turn of the 20th century and their opulent style has been reflected in
many parts of the hotel.

facilities and a choice of four locations licensed to host the
ceremony: the Great Room offers a certain majesty and
splendour with seating for 90 guests; the Orton Suite is our
modern suite of rooms with seating for 130; the Huntly
Restaurant is perfect for an afternoon ceremony for 40; whilst
the Conservatory with its stained glass windows provides an
elegant space for up to 90 guests. Personal touches can
