<strong>Profi</strong> I/O 690E+<br />

Settings<br />

• Diagnosis memory:<br />

In the case of <strong>PC</strong> control <strong>645</strong>-<strong>12M</strong>, diagnosis memory<br />

settings have no effect at this point.<br />

Refer to chapter "4.9.2.8. Service 9...".<br />

• Passive mode<br />

means that, during the PROFIBUS-DP startup procedure,<br />

this DP slave is disabled and there is no communication<br />

with this device.<br />

Refer to chapter "4.9.2.4. Service 7...".<br />

• Byte operands only<br />

means that the inputs and outputs of this DP slave are<br />

written into the process image as byte operands. This relieves<br />

the load on the process image memory.<br />

• Watchdog <strong>Control</strong> and Group-Ident<br />

Refer to the technical documentation of the DP slave (here:<br />

instruction manual E 408 D, <strong>Profi</strong> I/O 690E+).<br />
