B.1. PROFIBUS cable<br />
PROFIBUS standard EN 50 170, PROFIBUS, specifies two<br />
admissible cables to be used for the PROFIBUS-FMS and<br />
PROFIBUS-DP protocols.<br />
Both cable types are discussed below. We recommend using<br />
cable type A because it has advanced properties.<br />
B.1.1. Cable type A<br />
Cable type A recommends itself for high transfer speeds ( ><br />
500 kBaud).<br />
