3 June 2007<br />
BM, of MDC, was allegedly assaulted<br />
and harassd by three farm workers,<br />
suspected to be of Zanu PF, for<br />
allegedly wearing an NCA T/shirt. It is<br />
alleged that the incident took place when<br />
the victim visited their farm to buy farm<br />
produce for re-sale. The victim was<br />
accused of supporting the opposition<br />
MDC party.<br />
4 June 2007<br />
Councillor M, of Zanu PF, allegedly<br />
harassed, NM (23), a member of the<br />
public for failing to attend Zanu PF<br />
meetings, yet she was reported to have<br />
attended a meeting called by an MDC<br />
Councillor, to give her a<br />
recommendation letter for her to get<br />
employment at Batanai Play Centre, a<br />
council crèche.<br />
9 June 2007<br />
JM (29), of the ruling Zanu PF<br />
reportedly assaulted N (31), of MDC,<br />
accusing her of failing to attend Zanu PF<br />
ward meetings. It is alleged that she<br />
was also evicted from her flea market<br />
stall for the same reasons.<br />

For allegedly refusing to disclose the<br />
number of eligible voters (those over 18<br />
years), at his house, NM, of the MDC<br />
was reportedly harassed by T of Zanu PF.<br />
13 June 2007<br />
K (31), of MDC, was reportedly assaulted,<br />
by S (38) of Zanu PF, for allegedly<br />
refusing to allow members of her family<br />
who are eligible to vote to go and register<br />
as voters.<br />
20 June 2007<br />
Some unidentified council workers, who<br />
are also Zanu PF supporters, allegedly<br />
harassed BN (31), also of Zanu PF, whom<br />
they accused of wearing an NCA T/shirt,<br />
which their party views as opposition.<br />
Zvimba South<br />
4 June 2007<br />
DM (32), of the ruling party Zanu PF,<br />
allegedly assaulted, TN (26) and TM (27),<br />
of the opposition, for criticising price hikes<br />
of basic commodities, as these are viewed<br />
as criticizing the government.<br />
12 June 2007<br />
MN (42), of the opposition MDC, was<br />
reportedly harassed by AM (38), of the<br />
ruling party Zanu PF, who accused MN, of<br />
challenging the Zanu PF leadership, after<br />
they had deleted his name from a food aid<br />
beneficiary list.<br />
TN (26) and TM (27), were reportedly<br />
harassed by a group of unidentified Zanu<br />
PF youths, led by DM (32), who accused<br />
the MDC pair of blaming the government<br />
for the price hikes of basic commodities.<br />
Zvimba North<br />
1 June 2007<br />
TC, of Zanu PF, allegedly harassed, PM<br />
of MDC, and denied him an opportunity<br />
to get a residential stand in the area. It<br />
is alleged that PM, was being forced to<br />
denounce his party.<br />
5 June 2007<br />
For seemingly failing to renounce their<br />
partisanship with MDC within a<br />
specified time, JM and SM of the MDC<br />
were reportedly evicted from the area by<br />
Zanu PF supporter, Cde. B (68). The<br />
couple relocated from the farming area<br />
to their rural Kenzamba area.<br />
5 June 2007<br />
JC, CM and TB, of the ruling Zanu PF,<br />
allegedly harassed, TM and MC, of the<br />
opposition MDC, accusing the pair of<br />
wearing MDC T/shirts in a Zanu PF<br />
dominated ward.<br />
8 June 2007<br />
Councillor K, of Zanu PF, reportedly<br />
harassed IK, of MDC, in his effort to<br />
hinder people from gathering at an MDC<br />
aspiring Councillor’s funeral.<br />
