Mål<br />

This course gives an understanding of the context and the environment for<br />

companies within the Information Communication Technology (ICT) sphere.<br />

This is a course for anyone who sees their future in ICT: as an entrepreneur,<br />

an engineer, a venture capitalist, a policy-maker, or as a scholar. We will<br />

critical examine different aspects of ICT to understand different preconditions<br />

in the ICT-sphere. We will not work with developing business-mo<strong>del</strong>s or<br />

business-plans for ICT-based enterprises.<br />

Kursinnehåll<br />

During the course we will discuss conditions that affect companies operating<br />

within ICT, such as globalization, privatization, de-regulations, different types<br />

of miliuex that host ICT-clusters. We will map out different players and their<br />

places in different value-chains, and we will cover cutting edge technology<br />

within ICT as well as security and open source approaches in the development<br />

of the technology. We will bring in guests from different fields related to ICT<br />

who bring a variety of perspectives of what has happened, what is going on<br />

right now, and what will be the future for ICT-enterprises.<br />

Classes will be held at the IT-university in Kista The course will be co-taught<br />

with 2G1724.<br />

The main resources for facilitating the learning are the students, teachingteam,<br />

and the guests that in one way or another capacity will participate<br />

during the course. For every session there will either be group and individual<br />

assignments<br />

There will be 20 seats in the class.<br />
