Mål<br />

The aim of the course is to give the students good knowledge of mobile<br />

application development. They should have a good overview of different<br />

network services and application platforms and have the practical skill to<br />

develop applications on several platforms.<br />

Kursinnehåll<br />

The course will focus on applications for GSM/GPRS/3G networks and<br />

include an overview of mobile networks<br />

wireless application protocols. messaging infrastructure and protocolls<br />

terminal platforms. application development using WML, XHTML-MP and<br />

WMLscript etc. application development using J2ME/MIDP and PersonalJava<br />

security and authentication. billing infrastructure. positioning technology.<br />

The course will have a set of lectures and seminars but much time will. also be<br />

spent developing applications. The software development tools. will be freely<br />

downloaded SDKs. Ina set of laborative sessions the. students will implement<br />

a small mobile applications using either. browser technology or downloaded<br />

applications.<br />

provode good knowledge in network infrastructure. Good programming skills.<br />
