• Router Advertisement Proxy sub-block

This sub-block will be directly connected to the Ethernet driver via a raw socket, to intercept Router
Advertisements from the Access Router. The first received Router Advertisement will be stored in the
Info Management block, and a request will be sent to the Broadcasting sub block of the RCM, to
broadcast this Router Advertisement on the radio. The message will be IWF_BROADCAST_REQUEST,
with the Router Advertisement as parameter.
The Radio Gateway is supposed to be connected to the same Access Router all the time, so that the
Router Advertisement should never change.
• Neighbour Discovery Proxy sub-block
This sub-block will be directly connected to the Ethernet driver via a raw socket, to intercept Neighbour
Solicitation requests from the Access Router. If it corresponds to the Care Of Address of one of the
currently connected Mobile Terminal (information stored in the Info Management block), a Neighbour
Advertisement will be sent to the Access Router, with the “MAC address” of the Radio Gateway, instead
of the one from the Mobile Terminal.
