1.1.11 Major Truck Routes in <strong>Kansas</strong><br />

As shown in figure 1.4, there are two major and one minor east/west truck routes in<br />

<strong>Kansas</strong>. Also, there are three major and two minor north/south truck routes in <strong>Kansas</strong>.<br />

For this study, a major truck route is defined as a route having an average annual daily<br />

traffic (AADT) greater than 1000 trucks per day and a minor truck route is one that has<br />

an AADT mostly between 750 and 1000 trucks per day.<br />
