LAMINATES
Laminate worksurfaces are available for the VIRTU casegoods product line at an upcharge of 10% list (a higher upcharge may apply to
specially priced plastic laminates). Please see page 7 for complete laminate information.
Where there are wood profile edges on worksurface tops, they will remain as wood profiles on laminate tops. Where there are flush edges, as in
the backs of credenzas or link units, these edges will be self-edge laminate.
Krug will order and procure laminates. Purchase Orders with a plastic laminate option must include:
Manufacturer’s Name
Laminate Name
Laminate Number
Krug reserves the right to decline a laminate that may not be suitable for the application. Krug assumes no responsibility for the durability,
consistent colouration or any other performance characteristic of a customer-specified laminate. Laminates will extend the normal lead-time,
check with Customer Service for current scheduling information.
POWER MANAGEMENT
Round Grommet
A satin metallic round grommet with an open and shut mousehole serves to provide cable passage for areas not requiring a large opening. All
cases can be specified with one grommet in a standard position at no upcharge. A $100 list upcharge will apply to additional grommets and for
all grommets requested in non-standard positions. The grommet position must be indicated for each case on the order.
Standard grommet satin metallic round, 60mm dia.
Standard grommets do not provide electrical service.
Grommets can also be field installed with a power drill, 60mm hole saw and rasp or saber saw. Please keep in mind the location of grommets
when specifying paper managers or pier hutches for use with worksurfaces. For example, a paper manager on the left-hand side may be used
with a ‘‘C’’, ‘‘BR’’ or ‘‘AR’’ grommet.
PowerPort
A PowerPort is a unique worksurface mounted module that can be specified to a location that best serves the user’s needs. It can be specified
without any features or with a UL approved electrical, voice and data power bar.
A service module having no power bar will serve as a large grommet. A hinged lid easily enables the
passage of several cables and devices, which have large transformer plugs through the worksurface. Those
specified with a CSA/UL approved power bar will be provided with three 115-volt electrical convenience
outlets as well as one RJ11 and one RJ45 communication ports. The PowerPort is cat 5/6 compatible.
Please keep in mind the location of PowerPorts when specifying paper managers or pier door hutches for
use with worksurfaces. For example, a paper manager or a pier on the left-hand side may be used with a
‘‘C’’, ‘‘BR’’ or ‘‘AR’’ PowerPort.
