Prayer for Religious Priests, Brothers<br />
and Sisters<br />
Heavenly Father, in Your wisdom You have called certain<br />
women and men to a life <strong>of</strong> special consecration so that in<br />
prayerful observance <strong>of</strong> a lifestyle <strong>of</strong> poverty, chaste celibacy and<br />
obedience, they might be witnesses to us that, as Saint Paul<br />
says, “our true citizenship is in heaven.” Give them, Lord, the<br />
grace <strong>of</strong> joy and perseverance in their holy vocation.<br />
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.<br />
Prayer for the Laity<br />
Heavenly Father, You have called us all to holiness which means<br />
sharing in Your divine life. Fill us with a sense <strong>of</strong> our true dignity<br />
as those called to be Your daughters and sons in the world and<br />
Your ambassadors <strong>of</strong> justice, love and peace. Give us the desire to<br />
be worthy <strong>of</strong> this great calling and the courage to live up to it.<br />
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.<br />
Prayer in Time <strong>of</strong> Need<br />
Heavenly Father, in my present need, help me to believe that<br />
You are aware <strong>of</strong> my anxiety and will do what is best for me.<br />
Give me the strength to trust You and put the present and future<br />
in Your hands. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.<br />
