Stations <strong>of</strong> the Cross<br />
The Stations <strong>of</strong> the Cross is a school <strong>of</strong> faith, the faith which by<br />
its very nature “works through love” (Galatians 5:6).<br />
Let us pray.<br />
Brief pause in silence.<br />
Jesus, innocent victim <strong>of</strong> sin,<br />
receive us as companions on Your Paschal path,<br />
which from death leads to life,<br />
and teach us to live the time that we spend on earth<br />
rooted in faith in You,<br />
who have loved us and given Yourself up for us.<br />
You are the Christ, the one Lord,<br />
who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.<br />
The verse is said after each station is announced:<br />
V. We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You.<br />
R. Because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.<br />
1. Jesus is condemned to death<br />
2. Jesus takes up His cross<br />
3. Jesus falls for the first time<br />
4. Jesus meets His Mother<br />
5. Jesus is helped by Simon the Cyrene to carry His cross<br />
6. Veronica wipes the face <strong>of</strong> Jesus<br />
7. Jesus falls for the second time<br />
