An Act of Hope
O my God, relying on Thy infinite power, goodness and
promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of Thy
grace, and life everlasting through the merits of Jesus Christ, my
Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
An Act of Charity
O my God, I love Thee above all things, with my whole heart
and soul, because Thou art all good and worthy of all love. I love
my neighbor as myself for the love of Thee. I forgive all who
have injured me, and ask pardon of all whom I have injured.
Amen.
An Act of Perfect Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I
detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the
pains of hell; but most of all because they offended Thee, my
God, Who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly
resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do
penance, and to amend my life. Amen.
An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that Thou art truly present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love Thee above all things and I desire to possess
Thee within my soul. Since I am unable now to receive Thee
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace
Thee as being already there, and unite myself wholly to Thee;
never permit me to be separated from Thee. Amen.
