KNX at Hi-Tech Building 2010
Hi-Tech Building is the Russian
exhibition for home and building
control in cooperation with
the professional audio-video
solutions section - Integrated
Systems Russia. KNX Russia
participated in this fair for the
fourth time. This year, three
KNX manufacturers (Tci,
BleuComm’Azur and Weinzierl
Engineering) had their own
space at the KNX booth, in order
to demonstrate the latest
innovations. Many other KNX
manufacturers also participated
in the exhibition with their
own booths such as GIRA,
Schneider Electric, JUNG,
ABB, Siemens, etc. For many
years, the Hi-Tech Building organization,
KNX Association
and KNX Russia have collaborated
and promoted the home
and building sector in Russia.
As a result, KNX International
Association, represented by
Mr Heinz Lux, was praised for
its efforts during the opening
ceremony.

First KNX Course in Latin America

The “Korean Audio & Sound
Fair + Stage Equipment &
Lighting Technology Fair
2010” was held November
24-26, 2010 in Korea. This
trade show is regarded as the
greatest event for the audio
and sound industries in the
country. 22,000 visitors had
the chance to learn about
new items for lighting, audio
and sound control. Taking advantage
of this opportunity,
KNX – together with a Korean
system integrator – was
present at a Korean Fair for
the first time. KNX struck a
chord with the Korean people.
The KNX Standard was
the point of interest for many
visitors and attracted wide interest.
The several KNX application
areas shown at the
fair, the presentation of the
new ETS4 and the exhibited
KNX devices made a lasting
impression on the fair’s visitors.
This successful performance
was only the beginning
of many performances in Korea
and the whole Asia-Pacific
area in the future.

In January 2011, the first official
KNX Training Centre
in Latin America, the Montevideo
KNX Centre in Uruguay,
held two KNX Partner
courses. The Centre was
created in order to stimulate
awareness of the KNX
technology and its potential
applications in that region.
The Centre intends to establish
the KNX technology
as a benchmark in the field
of control systems and energy
efficiency.
Located in the city of Montevideo
(Uruguay), the MVD
KNC Center offers its training
services throughout Latin
America and has already
received applications from
Argentina, Chile, Paraguay,
Peru, Colombia and Panama.
