Last week, the new KNX
Executive Board, the KNX
President and Vice-President,
were elected during the
KNX General Assembly in
Warsaw (Poland). All KNX
Shareholders were invited
to vote on 13 candidates, all
of whom were approved as
new members of the Executive
Board for a term of five
years.
KNX therefore proudly

Presentation of new ETS4 in Finland

New Flyer – Energy Efficiency with KNX
In this newly published flyer,
KNX projects showcase the
opportunities for energy efficiency,
lighting systems and
reduced life cycle costs provided
by KNX. The brochure
demonstrate that the following
energy savings potential
is possible: 40 % with shading
control, 50 % with individual
room control, 60 % with
lighting control and up to 60 %
with ventilation control.

Three weeks after the release
of ETS4 in October 2010, an
ETS4 Workshop took place
with experts, trainers and
beginners in Finland.
During the seminar, all delegates
received a detailed
introduction to ETS4. André
Hänel, KNX Association,
showed the essential differences
and improvements
compared to ETS, as well as
tips and tricks for the transition
to the new tool.
A specific discussion took
place about how they could
improve and integrate KNX
in their trainings sessions
and courses, including the
new ETS4 tool, in the future.
Subsequently there was a
discussion forum about the
areas of improvement of the
KNX standards and a better
integration in training
courses. At the end of the
workshop, all participants, in
particular the trainers, were
very satisfied and ready to
spread their knowledge.
