KNX Professionals Spain, the New Identity
In October 2010, the KNX
Userclub AG took place at the
trade Show Matelec, in Madrid
(Spain). After a brief review of
recent activities organized in
2010, the partners decided to
adopt a new tactic in order to
strengthen the spirit of the
association.
The most significant change is
undoubtedly the new identity
of KNX Professionals Spain.
This new image, along with the
new logo and a new website,
will provide a breath of fresh
air to the association goals, to
its members and its activities,
focusing on the professional
environment.
To those ends, a new Committee
was designed, which
will verify that applicants meet
the necessary requirement to
become a KNX Professional
member including the following
criteria: KNX Partner
certificate, 1 year experience,
working as an active professional
and holding a valid ETS
Professional license, etc.

13 Strong Competitors for KNX Professionals Award 2010
At the end of last year,
Leertouwer won the KNX
Professionals Award 2010. The
company received this award
for their accomplishments in
a luxury villa, in which they
accomplished – by means of
KNX – the smart connecting of
many high-tech applications. A
total of 13 very strong projects
had been submitted that year.
The jury was made up of 70
KNX Professionals, who, after
a series of speed dates, could
select three of their favourite
projects out of the 13 contributions.
During these speed
dates, the KNX Professionals
who had submitted a project
KNX Area at the show
to win the award had the opportunity
to convince their
colleagues that their project
was the best.
Van Heeswijk Elektrotechniek
won the second prize for the
unique application of KNX in
a park of mobile site huts. This
intelligent system will provide
The Netherlands
an energy savings up to 60 percent.
Quo Vadis came in third
with the integration of infrared
operation of various installations
and medical applications
by means of the KNX-bus in
extra care housing apartments
for physically disabled people.

Some of the KNX National Groups
have now released their own KNX
National Journal with the support of
KNX Association. China and Spain
have recently published the new
edition of the KNX Journal 2010.
The magazine shows many interesting
topics translated into the local language
and focused on the local market.
Currently there are also additional
country related journals in preparation.
Soon the KNX Journal will
also be published in France, Belgium
and Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland,
Norway and Sweden).
