<strong>KNX</strong> Partners<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> Swiss will use WEB 2.0<br />
Starting in <strong>2011</strong>, <strong>KNX</strong> Swiss<br />
will be increasingly using the<br />
new media and WEB 2.0. They<br />
want to expand their website<br />
and use social networks more<br />
frequently. This activity is<br />
aimed at delivering news and<br />
information to a wider audience<br />
of <strong>KNX</strong> Swiss members. <strong>KNX</strong><br />
Swiss decided to use three platforms<br />
where they have already<br />
started their activities. One of<br />
them is Twitter, where <strong>KNX</strong><br />
Swiss already has a news channel<br />
(twitter.com/knxswiss).<br />
Also, <strong>KNX</strong> Swiss decided for<br />
Swiss are increasingly using social networks for their communication.<br />
Facebook, where they try to<br />
reach a younger target group<br />
(facebook.com/knxswiss). The<br />
XING business community will<br />
also play a major part. <strong>KNX</strong><br />
Swiss has had a good start with<br />
Xing and <strong>KNX</strong> Swiss noticed an<br />
increased interest there (www.<br />

China<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> manufacturers side by side at one stand<br />
The Home Automation & Smart<br />
Living fair in the Evoluon in<br />
Eindhoven on November 17th<br />
and 18th was a great success<br />
for <strong>KNX</strong>. On the ground Floor<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> had a stand of approximately<br />
200 square metres at which<br />
a lot of visitors asked for and<br />
received information about the<br />
world standard. It was striking<br />
to see how 9 prominent <strong>KNX</strong><br />
manufacturers presented themselves<br />
side by side at the <strong>KNX</strong><br />
stand, this way showing that<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> is the only standard that is<br />
widely supported in the market.<br />
Anyone who visited the central<br />
hall of the Evoluon was literally<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> Area at the show.<br />
The Netherlands<br />
unable to avoid the gigantic <strong>KNX</strong><br />
logo. Behind this logo a ‘street of<br />
manufacturers’ had been created,<br />
in which ABB, Berker, Gira,<br />
Hager, Jung, Schneider, Siemens,<br />
Somfy and Theben showed their<br />
products. On the second floor<br />
there were approximately 20<br />
<strong>KNX</strong> Professionals with their<br />
own stands, showing visitors<br />

Busy <strong>2011</strong> For <strong>KNX</strong> UK<br />
With Ecobuild having proved a<br />
successful exhibition, <strong>KNX</strong> UK<br />
is continuing its highly successful<br />
promotional programme<br />
throughout <strong>2011</strong>. First up<br />
will be the Building Controls<br />
Industry Association Awards<br />
to be held in May in Solihull<br />
and once again <strong>KNX</strong> UK will<br />
be a major sponsor. Then the<br />
focus will be on the build up to<br />
tuesday 01 – thursday 03 march <strong>2011</strong><br />

the WorldSkills competition<br />
<strong>2011</strong> to be held in London<br />
in October and <strong>KNX</strong> UK<br />
will be working closely with<br />
the <strong>KNX</strong> Association. Add<br />
to these <strong>KNX</strong> UK’s on-going<br />
promotional programmes for<br />
its members and it looks like<br />
U.K.<br />
<strong>2011</strong> will be an eventful and<br />
successful year.<br />
