For the purpose ong>ofong> safety and amenity ong>ofong> the area, no building materials, plant or the like are ong>toong> ong>beong> song>toong>red on the road or footpath without the written approval ong>beong>ing obtained from the Council ong>beong>forehand. The pathway shall ong>beong> kept in a clean, tidy and safe condition during building operations. Council reserves the right, without notice, ong>toong> rectify any such breach and ong>toong> charge the cost against the applicant/owner/builder, as the case may ong>beong>. 6. HOURS OF WORK: For the purpose ong>ofong> residential amenity, noise generating work carried out in connection with building and construction operation, including deliveries ong>ofong> building materials and equipment, is restricted ong>toong> the following hours: Mondays ong>toong> Fridays inclusive: 7.00am ong>toong> 5.30pm. Saturdays: 8.00am ong>toong> 12.00 noon. Sundays and Public Holidays: Not Permitted. The use ong>ofong> the following items ong>ofong> plant on the site is also restricted ong>toong> the abovementioned hours: compressors, bulldozers, power operated woodworking machines, excavaong>toong>rs and loaders, jackhammers, Ramset guns, concrete mixers and concrete delivery wagons, hoists, winches, welding and riveting plant. Whilst work on Saturdays may ong>beong> performed until 5.30pm, such work or any associated activities shall not involve the use ong>ofong> any noise generating processes or equipment. 7. For the purpose ong>ofong> public safety, a sign shall ong>beong> erected on the site prior ong>toong> any work commencing which is clearly visible from a public place stating that unauthorised entry ong>toong> the site is not permitted and showing the name ong>ofong> the builder or another person responsible for the site and a telephone numong>beong>r for contact outside working hours. The sign may only ong>beong> removed on satisfacong>toong>ry completion ong>ofong> the works. 8. A sign shall ong>beong> erected in a prominent position on the site which states the name and contact details ong>ofong> the Principal Certifying Authority. 9. All excavations shall ong>beong> properly guarded and protected with hoardings or fencing ong>toong> prevent them from ong>beong>ing dangerous ong>toong> life and property. 10. To maintain existing ground levels all excavated material shall ong>beong> removed from the site. 11. Any excavation ong>ofong> rock involving hydraulic or compressed air rock hammers or other excavation equipment shall comply with the requirements ong>ofong> Council’s Code for the Control and Regulation ong>ofong> Noise on Building Sites. 12. No rock breaking or other machinery for the excavation, drilling or removal ong>ofong> rock shall ong>beong> used on the site without the prior approval ong>ofong> the Principal Certifying Authority. Should rock breaking or associated machinery ong>beong> required, the following details are ong>toong> ong>beong> submitted ong>toong> the Principal Certifying Authority for consideration: a. The type and size ong>ofong> machinery proposed. b. The routes ong>ofong> all trucks ong>toong> convey material ong>toong> and from the site. c. A report by a Geotechnical Engineer detailing the measures recommended in undertaking the work so as ong>toong> prevent any damage ong>toong> any adjoining or nearby buildings. The applicant is advised that the Construction Certificate plans and specifications must comply with the provisions ong>ofong> the Building Code ong>ofong> Australia. 14. All excavations and backfilling associated with the erection or demolition ong>ofong> a building must ong>beong> executed safely and in accordance with appropriate prong>ofong>essional standards. All excavations associated with the erection or demolition ong>ofong> a building must ong>beong> properly guarded and protected ong>toong> prevent them from ong>beong>ing dangerous ong>toong> life or property. 15. If an excavation associated with the erection or demolition ong>ofong> a building extends ong>beong>low the level ong>ofong> the base ong>ofong> the footings ong>ofong> a building on an adjoining allotment ong>ofong> land, the person causing the excavation ong>toong> ong>beong> made: a. must preserve and protect the building from damage, and b. if necessary, must underpin and support the building in an approved manner, and c. must, at least 7 days ong>beong>fore excavating ong>beong>low the level ong>ofong> the base ong>ofong> the footings ong>ofong> a building on an adjoining allotment ong>ofong> land, give notice ong>ofong> intention ong>toong> do so ong>toong> the owner ong>ofong> the adjoining allotment ong>ofong> land and furnish particulars ong>ofong> the excavation ong>toong> the owner ong>ofong> the building ong>beong>ing erected or demolished. The owner ong>ofong> the adjoining allotment ong>ofong> land is not liable for any part ong>ofong> the cost ong>ofong> work carried out for the purposes ong>ofong> this clause, whether carried out on the allotment ong>ofong> land ong>beong>ing excavated or on the adjoining allotment ong>ofong> land. In this clause, allotment ong>ofong> land includes a public road and any other public place. 16. Toilet facilities are ong>toong> ong>beong> provided, within the work site on which work involved in the erection or demolition ong>ofong> a building is ong>beong>ing carried out, at the rate ong>ofong> one ong>toong>ilet for every 20 persons or part ong>ofong> 20 persons employed at the site. 17. Any fencing and associated footings shall ong>beong> constructed entirely within the boundaries ong>ofong> the property. 18. The demolition is ong>toong> ong>beong> carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in Australian Standard 2601-1991: The Demolition ong>ofong> Structures. 19. Access ong>toong> demolition sites shall ong>beong> protected as directed by the Principal Certifying Authority by the use ong>ofong> suitable fences or hoardings. 20. Demolition work, including removal ong>ofong> material or debris from the site, on any building in a residential area shall only ong>beong> carried out during the following hours: Mondays ong>toong> Fridays inclusive: 7.00am ong>toong> 5.30pm. Saturdays: 8.00am ong>toong> 12.00 noon. Sundays and Public Holidays: Not Permitted. 21. 9. All excav<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong>s shall <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> properly guarded and protected with hoardings or fencing <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> prevent<br />

them from <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g>ing dangerous <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> life and property.<br />

10. To maintain existing ground levels all excav<strong>at</strong>ed m<strong>at</strong>erial shall <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> removed from the site.<br />
