Appendix 7 – Some minor alter<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong>s and additi<strong>on</strong>s are proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the c<strong>on</strong>trols so as <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> clarify<br />

design requirements for property and interallotment drainage systems.<br />

Appendix 8 – Some minor amendments are proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> correct errors and improve clarity.<br />

Appendix 11 – It is proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> correct Secti<strong>on</strong> 11.1(f) for c<strong>on</strong>sistency with Chapter 7. It is also<br />

proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> amend the diagram by deleting reference <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> in a superseded document.<br />

Some minor amendments <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> wording are also proposed.<br />

Appendix 13 – The majority <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> is now included in Council’s DA Guide. It is<br />

proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> include the remainder <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> this inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> in the DA Guide so th<strong>at</strong> all inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> about<br />

submissi<strong>on</strong> requirements is in a single loc<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> th<strong>at</strong> may <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> easily accessed by cus<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>mers. The<br />

inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> in the existing Appendix 13 may therefore <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> deleted. It is proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> replace this<br />

inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> with a new Rainw<strong>at</strong>er Tank Certific<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> Sheet.<br />

Appendix 15 – A new appendix is proposed c<strong>on</strong>taining a typical detail <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a dispersal trench.<br />

Appendix 16 – Following the adopti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Council’s Riparian Policy and in line with Council’s<br />

resoluti<strong>on</strong>, it is proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> add c<strong>on</strong>trols <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the DCP <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> limit development in the vicinity <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> riparian<br />

z<strong>on</strong>es. So as <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> minimize the need for cross-referencing, it is proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> include a new appendix<br />

c<strong>on</strong>taining the mapped inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> from the Riparian Policy showing the three different kinds <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

riparian corridor.<br />

CONSULTATION<br />

External engineering c<strong>on</strong>sultants have <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fered their opini<strong>on</strong> in respect <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> limiting the c<strong>on</strong>cessi<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong><br />

OSD <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> afford some protecti<strong>on</strong> from flooding as well as the extent <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the c<strong>on</strong>cessi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS<br />

Costs are associ<strong>at</strong>ed with notific<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> in local papers and printing. Further costs <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> Council<br />

primarily rel<strong>at</strong>e <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> staff time and exhibiti<strong>on</strong> for the proposed amendments <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> the DCP (for<br />

advertising, printing and staff time). If adopted, an advertisement will <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> placed in local papers<br />

informing the community <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the proposed amendments and the cost met from the Planning &<br />

Envir<strong>on</strong>ment Department.<br />

CONSULTATION WITH OTHER COUNCIL DEPARTMENTS<br />

The review has <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g>en c<strong>on</strong>ducted by staff from the Departments <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Technical Services, Development<br />

& Regul<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> Department, Planning & Envir<strong>on</strong>ment and Open Space.<br />

SUMMARY<br />

On 23 March 2004, Development C<strong>on</strong>trol Plan (DCP) 47 was adopted by Council. Since the<br />

adopti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the DCP, the Department <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Infrastructure, Planning and N<strong>at</strong>ural Resource has<br />
