Appendix 5 – Minor amendments only are proposed <strong>to</strong> wording and references <strong>to</strong> improve clarity.

Appendix 7 – Some minor alterations and additions are proposed <strong>to</strong> the controls so as <strong>to</strong> clarify
design requirements for property and interallotment drainage systems.
Appendix 8 – Some minor amendments are proposed <strong>to</strong> correct errors and improve clarity.
Appendix 11 – It is proposed <strong>to</strong> correct Section 11.1(f) for consistency with Chapter 7. It is also
proposed <strong>to</strong> amend the diagram by deleting reference <strong>to</strong> information in a superseded document.
Some minor amendments <strong>to</strong> wording are also proposed.
Appendix 13 – The majority <strong>of</strong> this information is now included in Council’s DA Guide. It is
proposed <strong>to</strong> include the remainder <strong>of</strong> this information in the DA Guide so that all information about
submission requirements is in a single location that may <strong>be</strong> easily accessed by cus<strong>to</strong>mers. The
information in the existing Appendix 13 may therefore <strong>be</strong> deleted. It is proposed <strong>to</strong> replace this
information with a new Rainwater Tank Certification Sheet.
Appendix 15 – A new appendix is proposed containing a typical detail <strong>of</strong> a dispersal trench.
Appendix 16 – Following the adoption <strong>of</strong> Council’s Riparian Policy and in line with Council’s
resolution, it is proposed <strong>to</strong> add controls <strong>to</strong> the DCP <strong>to</strong> limit development in the vicinity <strong>of</strong> riparian
zones. So as <strong>to</strong> minimize the need for cross-referencing, it is proposed <strong>to</strong> include a new appendix
containing the mapped information from the Riparian Policy showing the three different kinds <strong>of</strong>
riparian corridor.
CONSULTATION
External engineering consultants have <strong>of</strong>fered their opinion in respect <strong>to</strong> limiting the concession on
OSD <strong>to</strong> afford some protection from flooding as well as the extent <strong>of</strong> the concession.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Costs are associated with notification in local papers and printing. Further costs <strong>to</strong> Council
primarily relate <strong>to</strong> staff time and exhibition for the proposed amendments <strong>to</strong> the DCP (for
advertising, printing and staff time). If adopted, an advertisement will <strong>be</strong> placed in local papers
informing the community <strong>of</strong> the proposed amendments and the cost met from the Planning &
Environment Department.
CONSULTATION WITH OTHER COUNCIL DEPARTMENTS
The review has <strong>be</strong>en conducted by staff from the Departments <strong>of</strong> Technical Services, Development
& Regulation Department, Planning & Environment and Open Space.
SUMMARY
On 23 March 2004, Development Control Plan (DCP) 47 was adopted by Council. Since the
adoption <strong>of</strong> the DCP, the Department <strong>of</strong> Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resource has
