properties and th<strong>at</strong> the integrity <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the drainage system capacity as well as the impacts <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> increased<br />
multi-unit development are appropri<strong>at</strong>ely managed. Specifically, the proposed amendments <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
Chapter 6 are:<br />
1. An upd<strong>at</strong>e <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> Secti<strong>on</strong> 6.4 so as <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> properly reflect the current st<strong>at</strong>us <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> BASIX.<br />
2. Introducti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> a retenti<strong>on</strong> comp<strong>on</strong>ent <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> 5000 litres (garden irrig<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> minimum) for existing<br />

site s<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>rage requirement (SSR) <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g>ing 50% (for all Types 4), and either 50% (for eight or fewer<br />
units) or 75% (for nine or more units) for Type 5 & 6. This limits the c<strong>on</strong>cessi<strong>on</strong> for other<br />
s<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>rage devices <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> not more than 50% or 25% respectively.<br />
4. Form<strong>at</strong>ting <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> modific<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong>s <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> Secti<strong>on</strong>s 6.7 and 6.9 <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> reflect other changes and <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> improve<br />
clarity <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> users <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the document.<br />
5. Examples added <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> clarify the meaning <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> c<strong>on</strong>trol 6.7.2 (d).<br />

improve clarity.<br />
Amendments <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> Chapter 8 – W<strong>at</strong>er Quality<br />
Some additi<strong>on</strong>al inform<strong>at</strong>i<strong>on</strong> is proposed <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>be</str<strong>on</strong>g> included in order <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> improve cus<str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g>mers’<br />

rainw<strong>at</strong>er tanks and r<strong>at</strong>ings for fixtures.<br />
Amendments <str<strong>on</strong>g>to</str<strong>on</strong>g> Appendices<br />
