Objectives • To contribute <strong>to</strong> a sustainable, safe, healthy and vibrant community through the provision <strong>of</strong> integrated services and programs. • To provide a library service that addresses the information, cultural and recreation needs <strong>of</strong> the community. • To <strong>of</strong>fer a stimulating environment for artistic and creative expressions through an ongoing program <strong>of</strong> art courses, workshops and events. • To provide programs that represent value for money and are financially sustainable. • To develop community pride and identity through cultural planning, community celebrations and cultural awareness programs. • To provide quality open space, sufficient <strong>to</strong> meet the needs <strong>of</strong> the community. What we will do this year • Present cultural celebrations and special events that encourage community participation and create a sense <strong>of</strong> well-<strong>be</strong>ing. • Increase access <strong>to</strong> and use <strong>of</strong> Council’s community facilities and recreation areas. • Encourage greater participation in community based volunteer programs. • Review and enhance Council’s library services. • Review existing service programs <strong>to</strong> ensure they remain responsive and relevant <strong>to</strong> the needs <strong>of</strong> the community • Conduct Children’s Centre Feasibility Study. • Complete plans for North Turramurra Recreation.
